Climate Change and Carbon Netzero

The third training workshop was held successfully on May 24 (Friday), attracting more than 65 participants from the toy industry. During the workshop, participants learned about current climate change regulations, the journey to net zero and case studies. Mr Nik Sam, Assistant Manager, Corporate and Community Sustainability at World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong, was also invited as a guest speaker to share how to measure and manage operational impact from a science-based perspective.

ESG Workshops

In collaboration with two major toy associations in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Toys Council (HKTC) and the Toys Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong Limited (TMHK) will launch a project entitled “To enhance Hong Kong toy industry players’ awareness and knowledge of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG)” which will be implemented by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and supported by the TSF Fund of Trade and Industry Department (TID), the Government of the HKSAR.

One of the major deliverables of the project is a series of 6 training workshops to support toy industry players in understanding local and international market standards/expectations on ESG requirements, as well as learning how to integrate relevant ESG requirements into daily operations.
